A wedding guest book is a treasured item for wedding couples, so it's important to understand its purpose. A wedding guest book is just that – a book that guests can sign or leave messages in. They can be beautifully designed, decorated and personalized for the celebration, but there's much more meaning behind it than just a decorative piece.
A wedding guest book holds value in its contents: stories, memories, notes and even photos from the special day. It's an opportunity for the couple to save these memories they share with family and friends forever. Here's what a wedding guest book should contain:
1) Guests must have space to write their names: Each wedding guest should be able to sign his or her name in the guest book. This is also a great spot to include addresses/emails of your guests as well!
2) Messages from your guests: Guests who have come near and far can leave words of encouragement, advice, congratulations and funny stories of the couple. These are ones that you will cherish forever!
3) Photos or Logos: Include photos of the couple and their attendants or amazing moments from your special day in your guestbook. If you have any logos or other artwork related to your event, include this too!
It's also very important not to forget about where you should display it! Consider where most of your guests might gather during the celebration and set up an elegant table with pens, paper/tablecloth and chalkboard/decorative element(s). Your guests will love having space to write down thoughts and remembrances. You can also put out different colored pens for guests - it adds visual texture and excitement when people see them!
